Don’t tolerate, challenge the darkness

My wife had a dream where she saw demonic spirits creating darkness over a place. We were walking down the street minding our own business. But when we saw what they were doing, we decided to do something about it.

As we moved in the direction of the darkness, my wife rebuked those spirits. They started feeling uncomfortable and afraid. Then she heard a voice from behind saying, “You’re the children of the Light”.

God was revealing that our light is far more powerful than we think.

Enforce the victory

Do you see darkness oppressing your life, family, or a particular region? It’s time to do something about it rather than being passive and indifferent.

In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Did you hear that? We have authority over all the power of the enemy, not few or some power, and nothing will hurt us.

Colossians 2:15 says that Jesus disarmed principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Jesus has already disarmed Satan and his army. It’s not we who should be afraid, but the demonic forces.

Let’s not underestimate our authority. If we neglect exercising our spiritual authority, the darkness remains unchallenged, and the enemy keeps stealing, killing, and destroying.

We are called to enforce the victory bought by Jesus. When we speak and decree God’s Word over our lives, family, or a city, His light will invade the darkness.

Discern and prophesy God’s will and righteousness over people, situations, and regions. You can bind and loose with spirit-led words. The angels will ‘execute’ God’s Word ‘decreed’ from our mouth.

Stop compromising and shine your light

1 Thessalonians 5:5 says, “You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.”

In Romans 13:12, we’re told to cast off the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light.

Ephesians 5:8-10 says, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, (for the fruit of the Spirit is, in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord”.

If we stop compromising, and walk as the children of light, in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, we become a threat to the Kingdom of darkness. Our light will affect the people around us.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 says that Jesus will consume Satan with the breath of His mouth and destroy him with the brightness of His coming.

Satan cannot withstand the brightness of the light of Jesus. Christ is in you. You’re the light of this world. Your light is far more powerful than Satan’s darkness.

Don’t tolerate the darkness that you see or hear. Do something about it. Start decreeing the Word, and exercise the spiritual authority that you have in Jesus’ name.

Don’t hide your light. Let your testimony and good works in Christ give light to people around you.
